Romy and Linda Caringal are both physicians from the Philippines. They spent nearly 4 decades following God's call through medicine and missions. Since 1988, their journey with the Wesleyan church took them from Zambia to Nepal, across 12 countries in Asia, then into Wuhan China, and most recently, Cambodia. They treat patients, serve in hospitals, share Christ as a way of life, help develop national leaders, engage in churches, connect and mentor students, all with steady faith and compassionate hearts.
Romy and Linda returned to the mission field in August 2026 to continue their ministry. They will divide their time between Zambia and Cambodia: serving as faculty members at the Africa Wesleyan University College in Zambia (AWUC) and giving their support to the Pastors & Brethren of the Khmer Wesleyan congregations in Cambodia. Linda will continue her work in cervical cancer prevention and training program while Romy will still serve as a part-time lecturer at the University of Puthisastra in Phnom Penh (department of Medicine, 5th year medical students). Both Roma and Linda are invested in deepening their relationships with college students who relate to Campus Crusade for Christ Cambodia (Cru) and with several young professionals mostly in Phnom Penh.
The Caringals are now in their 38th year of service with Global Partners. They find joy and purpose in being sent to various places to fill gaps and to use their giftings to bring the Gospel mostly in the platform of medical ministry. Their twin children, Hannah (married to Madhan) and Nathan (married to Hope) are also healthcare professionals.
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
